Time To ACT, is an engineering business focused on energy transition technology, is positioned to benefit from these advancements through its innovative subsidiary, GreenSpur. With a dedicated focus on driving sustainable change, GreenSpur stands at the forefront of our efforts to navigate the evolving landscape of critical minerals.

The recent tariffs imposed by the UK government on £14 billion of Chinese imports underscore the imperative for a diversified mineral supply chain. JPMorgan’s report highlights China’s significant role in the processing of key minerals, such as graphite and rare earth elements, while also signalling opportunities for strategic partnerships and advancements.

As part of Time To ACT’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, GreenSpur plays a pivotal role in exploring alternative sourcing and critical material substitution for the wind industry with its innovative generator technology that eliminates the use of rare earth magnets and substitutes copper for aluminium in its coils. By leveraging GreenSpur’s expertise, we aim to reduce dependency on any single source and ensure a stable supply chain for the next generation wind turbine generators which are so key to the global energy transition.

GreenSpur’s development of a Rare Earth-free generator offers a sustainable solution to address critical materials supply chain risks, aligning with the growing demand for environmentally friendly technologies.

Moreover, GreenSpur’s focus on material substitution from scarce to abundant supply chains aligns perfectly with our mission to fortify the economic framework against potential disruptions. Through collaboration with countries like Canada, Australia, the EU, and Japan, GreenSpur aims to disrupt the wind industry’s dependence on rare earth materials before it becomes too late.

Time To ACT recognises the strategic importance of critical minerals and is committed to leveraging GreenSpur’s capabilities to navigate challenges and seize opportunities in the evolving UK-China trade dynamics.

With a focus on sustainability, innovation, and strategic partnerships, GreenSpur is well-positioned to drive positive change in the critical minerals sector.
